Age Discrimination
Workplace Discrimination

Definition

California's FEHA prohibits age discrimination against employees 40 years of age and older - covering all terms and conditions of employment, from hiring through termination. California's age discrimination law provides stronger protections than the federal Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), including a lower threshold for proving that age was a motivating factor in the adverse employment action.
